About Shanna

As a director at Resonance, Shanna has more than 20 years of experience in international development in leadership roles in the field and home office, both on new business development and project implementation.  She has helped spearhead Resonance’s efforts in the open innovation space, and served as a technical lead and chief of party on various projects in a variety of technical areas including good governance, corruption, violence prevention, economic growth, and gender, working across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.  Some of the more unique initiatives she has engaged on include overseeing a complex program to support community policing and police reform in Bangladesh, ensuring infrastructure to support digital connectivity in Venezuela, and wraparound service provision on gender-based violence in Guyana.  She has also served as the lead technical writer on winning new business proposals valued at up $75-million USD.    

Shanna holds a Bachelors of Science in Natural Resource Management from the Ohio State University, and a Masters in Economics and Development from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
