About Justin
Justin Lawrence is a Monitoring Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Associate with over 13 years’ experience designing, implementing, and managing MEL systems and frameworks for learning, including MEL plans, learning agendas, baseline data collection, surveys, evaluations, program monitoring, and using data to inform iterative and dynamic adjustment. He has worked on MEL at the activity-, program-, and institutional-levels both as a core service and fully integrated into diverse development programming. He currently serves as the Senior Program Manager for a Department of State (DoS) funded MEL activity in Ukraine.
Justin has led or participated in over 25 evaluations over the course of his career. Most recently he led an evaluation in Ukraine focusing on IDP youth empowerment and governance. He is trained as a public speaker and facilitator, and has designed over 50 workshops or learning events over the course of his career.
Justin holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Maxwell Schoool at Syracuse University and Bachelors of Arts (BA) from Kalamazoo College.
