In June 2020, PepsiCo and USAID launched the Investing in Women to Strengthen Supply Chains Global Development Alliance (GDA) to prove the business case for women’s economic empowerment. Together, they seek to show how elevating women in supply chains can lead to greater growth, profitability, and sustainability.
The DEMD Greenland activity is helping drive economic growth by removing trade barriers and improving trade relationships with other countries in consumables, outdoor goods, and sustainable tourism. Through inclusion of businesses and stakeholders across the island nation in commercial activities, revenue increases will then be distributed through the entire value chain, increasing economic impact for all Greenlanders.
The USAID Ber-IKAN Activity is focused on increasing the resilience of Indonesia’s marine ecosystem, aiding in preserving biodiversity and supporting local livelihoods and economic growth across the region. Working with local communities, organizations, partners and fishers, this project aims to strengthen local fisheries management system to advance the protection of marine biodiversity, apply more responsible fishing practices, and reduce illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, overfishing, and destructive fishing.
Advancing a digitally-enabled global marketplace is a critical step toward a more equitable global economy – one that offers significant economic and social benefits for all. Under the direction of the USAID Office of Trade and Regulatory Reform (TRR), Resonance is leading the Digital Economy and Market Development (DEMD) activity to support USAID worldwide in tackling challenges related to the digital economy, trade capacity building, private sector development, and business enabling environment.
The Tuna Consortium brings together key stakeholders from across the non-profit, private, and public sectors to secure healthy, sustainable tuna fisheries and fisher communities through the improvement of marine and fisheries science, the strengthening of governance systems, and the building of capacity to improve fisheries management practices in Indonesia’s archipelagic waters.
