About Kristin

As Project Director and Chief of Party of the USAID Promoting Excellence in Private Sector Engagement (PEPSE) project, Kristin Beyard oversees USAID’s flagship Private Sector Engagement (PSE) project, where she leads strategy, client engagement, and overall project operations; manages a team of project staff and consultant teams serving host country and Washington-based clients; and provides strategic guidance, advisory support, and thought partnership to client technical teams in the areas of PSE and partnerships. She also serves on Resonance’s Extended Leadership Team. 

Kristin brings over 14 years of experience in international and economic development, specializing in project management and partnerships between donor, development, and private sector stakeholders. She has over 11 years of experience in the design and management of cross-sectoral partnerships with a range of clients including the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), foundations, and large food and beverage companies. Prior to her role on the PEPSE project, Kristin was Director of Resonance’s Economic Growth practice, where she oversaw growth and management of the firm’s portfolio of projects in the agribusiness, trade, competitiveness, and enterprise development sectors.

Prior to joining Resonance, Kristin worked for several development consulting firms, where she managed successful USAID programs throughout West Africa, East Africa, and Asia, developing and overseeing Global Development Alliance partnerships in the agriculture sector. Kristin holds an MA in economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA in political science and French from Drew University.
