The State of Public-Private Supply-Chain Partnerships

Resonance co-founder Steve Schmida collaborated with Mary Margaret Frank of the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and Neil Britto of The Intersector Project to learn more from global companies about how they are improving the performance of their supply chains through public-private partnerships. The group convened a roundtable of senior executives from consumer-packaged goods, technology, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and financial services companies at the Concordia Summit in New York City.

"[Global companies] must exercise balanced concern for profitability, efficiency, and reputation in their supply-chain decision-making, while assessing prospects for innovation and risk-sharing through partnerships."

The resulting discussion about supply chain partnerships revealed a few central themes: contracts, data, internal alignment, and the future of private-private partnerships. Full findings from the roundtable were recently published in Darden Ideas to Action by the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
